We are delighted to welcome three new institutions to the Switch OER community, marking significant growth in the Swiss higher education landscape.
New members:
For these institutions, OER offers the opportunity to improve the quality of teaching through shared resources, promote collaboration in Switzerland's diverse educational landscape, and efficiently adapt materials to the changing needs of students and the economy.
These partnerships extend Switch OER's reach from academic to vocational education and strengthen our presence throughout Switzerland. With our membership in SFUVET, we are particularly proud to build a bridge between traditional academic and vocational education systems through open educational resources.
Since our launch in August 2024, our community has grown to include ZHAW, FHNW, HEP Vaud, PHSZ, PHSG and now three more major institutions.
Together, we are building an ecosystem for the open exchange of high-quality teaching and learning materials in Switzerland.
We’re excited to share that OERSI (Open Educational Resources Search Index) — one of the largest open catalogs for educational resources — is now indexing our metadata. This means that all materials available in Switch OER can now be found directly through oersi.org, making our content more visible and accessible to educators, students, and lifelong learners across Europe and beyond.
This integration strengthens our commitment to open education by helping quality resources from Switch OER reach a wider audience.
We’re pleased to announce that all educational materials previously hosted on OEPMS (Open Education Platform for Management Schools) have now been successfully migrated to Switch OER. This means that content formerly found on oepms.org is now openly accessible through the national Swiss OER platform.
The OEPMS was created to make teaching at management schools more visible and continuously improve its quality. It provides a space for publishing
By joining Switch OER, these valuable materials gain greater visibility and become part of a broader, openly accessible educational landscape.
